About Wake Animal Advocates Group (WAAG)

The mission of Wake Animal Advocates Group (WAAG) is to support the efforts of the Wake County Animal Center and to help other animals. Our goal is to increase the adoption of homeless animals into permanent homes, to prevent cruelty to animals, and to support spay/neuter programs. WAAG was incorporated in August, 2007. We are a 501c3 non profit corporation

The second Saturday of each month, WAAG takes animals to pet stores to present for adoption, and to educate the public of the need to find loving homes for homeless animals. As we grow, we also hope to assist adopters with the cost of treating a heartworm positive pet.

We educate the public about the signs of cruelty and by promoting cruelty prevention tips, we hope to raise awareness of this issue, and help to save animals in the process.

WAAG supports the efforts for spay/neuter education and clinic programs.
