If your identity is so weak that it can be taken away simply by the clothes you wear, then you never really had an identity to begin with. Sometimes, it is approriate to wear certain things and inappropriate to wear other things. In many ways, clothing is a lot like manners.

Erp actually did do that. He and the guy he was hunting stood a few feet away from each other and unloaded shotguns at each other. Amazingly, Erp wasn't touched.

@anvil357 The filmation version was based on a live action show from the 70s that had a guy in an ape suit. Don't know why, but that's why filmation put it in their cartoon.

My only complaint about the bed scene, and this is representative for the movie on the whole, is that in the book I remember it reading more like a rape that a loving encounter. I could be wrong. It's been a while since I read the book.
