The reason for making such a statement is that the playlists on this channel are mostly about European classical music, and some people seem to see classical music as yet another apparent proof for European/Christian cultural superiority. I strongly wish to distance myself from such delusions. For details, see History.
The Playlists
While I like to think of the playlists found on this channel as a fairly comprehensive introduction to European "classical" music from 800 to right now, their contents are heavily colored by my taste, the availability of music on youtube and by what I happen to run into. Our Holy Lady
The background image is a picture of a statue of the Holy Virgin while being carried by Sinti pilgrims in procession to Her residence the Kapel in 't Zand ("Chapel in the Sands") in Roermond, the Netherlands. The pilgrimage takes place every year in July. On this occasion the pilgrims plea Our Lady for Her protection. It also offers Sinti from across the country a chance to spend some time together, since in the Netherlands their former nomadic lifestyle is forbidden.
