The Volcano Project is a community outreach program of the Volcano, Hawaii island-based Big Island Learning & Arts Center, a 501(C)3 not-for-profit. Our goal is to bid on and win the concession management contract for the historic hotel called Volcano House, situated on the rim of Kilauea caldera, the world's most active volcano, inside Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park, with the intent of running a working hospitality and culinary institute, open to the public.
