I think you have to take this all with a grain of salt, It's not meant for any other reason other then to have a bit of fun and mix styles up a bit.

I dont think they would ever try to pass it off as their own stuff or make a tour of it. People really do need to stop taking this stuff so seriously.

I can see how some might think they sound like the newer songs of tool as they're songs seem to be more just sounds and subject matter then singing and good guitars like the older stuff.
