Thank you for Soviet-Jewish Alienation within Bagel-and-Lox Culture-; Just a novice observation, but most of the Jewish critics of Israel residing in the West sound educated about their charismatic position in an adopted tongue that a majority of their hosts can speak, whereas Soviet Jews seem like any other wary immigrant community, who have retained their exilic language. I feel a similar ambivalence and growing antipathy toward Westernized Asians.
