@HamptonRoadsTVFan, It was also on a N.F.L. Films show called "The Defenders" and opened N.F.L. Films presentation of Super Bowl V. Sadly, it's not on any of the N.F,L, Films music compilation C.D. sets.

They had the same things on the opening for final two seasons of "My Three Sons" when Fred MacMurray, says, "Hi. Welcome to our show".

One flaw in this episode is that Gomer doesn't have his head shaved, which begins in "Gomer Pyle U.S.M.C.". They could've ended the episode when Gomer goes to the camp, then gets his head shaved (he even wears the same outfit in the pilot).

The original music by Haskell was retained, though the Loose music was later used for the end credits.

Cannon should've an extreme makeover when he was seen in that hospital bed at the beginning. The doctors should've stapled his stomach and shaved off his mustache. Give him a toupee too.
