As usual the coughs can ruin a magnificent performance.

Tey should have bouncers throwing out people that cough loud.

Muy tanguero y musical para este repertorio. Con las obvias deficiencias de la primera violinista que las redime con un buen fraseo tanguistico.

Los aplausos prematuros, inoportunos y de mal gusto no disminuyen el placer de escuchar esta talentosa orquesta de jovenes

Alagna did it last year at the Met,and it was beautiful. All the great ones can do it but there are fashions in music.

Of course Bjorling is one of the great ones.

@blichilde Exactly. Kissin is Kissin, no other except Argerich. Termikanov is a great conductor. The orchestra is mediocre and no conductor or pianist can make it better.

Still a wondeful interpretation.

@troutssaver Kempff,s is slower because simply he could not play it faster. Full of wrong notes.

Good Beethoven though but Barenboim is a level above.

Absolutely mesmerizing. De Sabata could play those tempi because he had two singers with legatto and air capacity like these .
