Where there is no vision, the people perish for lack of true, unadulterated harmony. Vision is a group of young
talented men who made a strong thunderous comeback to the gospel music scene. This group boasts of
some of the Bahamas' most talented male vocalists; their purpose is simply to spread the name of Christ
through quality gospel music. Their personal mandate is to declare the Word of God to the world. The
message is simple, a relationship with Jesus Christ provides the answer to every situation, crisis, controversy,
heartache, sorrow, confusion, uncertainty, pain and hurt.
The group's featured vocalists are Andy 'Abes' Ferguson (Mr.
Perfectionist) Lincoln 'Lincs' Bain (Mr. Sergeant at Arms), Kenyatta
'Shon' Taylor (Mr. Energetic) and Dave 'Poker' Taylor (Mr. Take
Charge), all of whom have been involved in music from their
childhood.
Their first hit single "All the Glory", released in 1995, combined a
Latin flavour with Bahamian Junkanoo music that captured the
hearts of Bahamians. In 1996 they won an amazing five Bahamian
Gospel Music Marlin Awards for Outstanding New Artist, Outstanding
Duo/Group, Outstanding Album Packaging, Outstanding Engineering
Recording and Outstanding Song of the Year. The group's harmony
definitely gained the affection and attention of many ears.
Vision avidly believes a man who puts his hand to the plough and
looks back is unfit for the Kingdom of God, hence they are pressing toward the mark for the prize of the high
calling. At their churches they serve in different roles as psalmists, musicians and music ministers.
Their style has been influenced by contemporary icons such as Take 6, Commissioned, the Winans and local
Bahamian legends - The Cooling Waters and The Gospel Visionaires.
Vision has travelled throughout The Bahamas ministering in local churches, concerts, in schools and they
have been involved in numerous community outreach programs. Vision has appeared in concerts featuring
Fred Hammond, Donnie McClurkin, The Williams Brothers,
Yolanda Adams, Nicole C. Mullen, The Crabb Family, Shirley
Caesar, Dottie Peoples, Byron Cage, and John P. Kee, and
have ministered at conferences featuring international
speakers Bishop T.D. Jakes, Dr. Myles Munroe and Bishop
Neil Ellis.
In May 2002, Vision launched its international ministry
appearing in Memphis Tennessee, ministering songs in
acapella and rich Caribbean rhythms at "The Victorious Life
Conference" hosted by The Spirit of Life Healing Wings
International Church. This was certainly just the beginning. In
July 2002, Vision returned to Memphis for a live interview and
two performances on the local TBN station. From Memphis,
the group travelled to Belo Horizonte, Brazil to release its
self-titled single, featuring the singles "Brand New World" and "All I Need". In September 2002, the group
continued to expand its international ministry making dynamic appearances at conferences in Paris, France
and Dusseldorf, Germany. Vision closed out 2002 with an earth-shaking touch down in London, England.
Both 2003 and 2004 brought more exciting opportunities for Vision to appear throughout the United States
(including an appearance at the internationally renowned, "Apollo Theatre"), the Caribbean and Europe.
After releasing two singles "Brand New World" & "All I Need" locally in the Bahamas, the group captured two
Caribbean Gospel Music Marlin Awards in 2004 for 'Contemporary Vocal Performance of the Year - Duo/
Group' and 'Junkanoo/Rake and Scrape Vocal Performance of the Year'.
In May 2007, the group released its debut album - "Introspection" - an unparalleled blend of musical styles
fused with their trademark of silky smooth harmony and are now geared to take the seven continents by
storm.
Vision makes "real music" that transcends from heaven. Every ear ought to hear.
