virus free generation hiphop tour

The Virus Free Generation Hip Hop Tour is an international campaign to raise awareness for HIV/AIDS amongst European and Southern African youth. The Tour visits the capital cities of Tanzania, Malawi, Namibia and South Africa, where established hip hop artists from Europe and Africa collaborate on subject related projects. The artists will visit hiv & aids related youth programs, give workshops to local youth and local musicians on how Hip Hop music can be used as a tool for education on topics such as hiv&aids, and record tracks on the issue of HIV/aids in Southern Africa. All to be featured on the 'VFG Hip Hop Tour album', which is to be released in May 2008. The Tour is developed and implemented in a cooperation between Alliance2015 members, among them is Hivos (NGO), the African partners of Alliance2015 and Music Mayday The Netherlands (NGO) www.musicmayday.nl
