@MyDreamside I would say Sheraton or Dot because they are semis and thus can resist more easily feedbacking for higher gain settings thus more versatility.

These are really nice guitars. The only thing that really set them apart from the Gibson ES 335 is the cheaper electronic. Nothing that can't be fixed.

Just get a nice BCS vintage 335 harness for 67$ and a set of Gibson classic 57/57+ and you are as close as possible to the real deal.

@tonyhawksacriminal thats a normal thing to be attracted by what is easy to catch. When something is challenging it is being rejected. No wonder pop, country and blues always outsell classical and jazz. What appeal to the lowest denominator is what the indu$try is targetting

Joke aside, with its external cab jack its pretty easy to add any 1x12, 2x12 or even 4x12 to it without compromising the original portability.

- Possibility to play at low volume as opposed to tube amp needing some more drive.

To all haters, you should remember that jazz and fusion are not like classical or pop music reproducing what is written or on records...its a Live music that calls for interpretation, freedom and exploration. They don't claim to be Mahavishnu Orchestra they just play one of their song THEIR WAY...

As much as I dig early career Warrel's high pitch vocals when he could do them easily, now it sounds like he is struggling and I kinda like the way he matured over the time and he should stick to his register now. Nice to see that band back however. Looking forward any new material they would issue
