i found that to be so true. I am a huge Jeff Lynne and ELO fan....my fav cuts are what the top 40 stations would consider "album filler". The true personality of the band/ artist/ lyricist is revealed in what are considered the lesser tracks....also, the same is often true of their true talent....

How anyone can take pleasure in watching the death of another human being, misguided or not, is a commentary on the sad state of our society. And religion has little or nothing to do with it.

If you couldn't hear the talent in Spanky's voice in "Sunday Will Never Be the Same", all you'd have to do is give an objective listen to "Brother Can You Spare a Dime". Definitely one of the top 10 folk/ pop groups of the sixties, in my humble opinion. And I'm pretty sure it was spelled "Byrd ...

The testimony of so many Christians....yours truly included. I had the album in the late 70's, still have it on a reel-to-reel tape. It is the title track of the album.

I heard on the Underground Garage on XM Radio last night that the song was originally written for Ronnie Specter to sing, but she couldn't give it the passion that it needed. So Ms. Love was offered the song, instead. Great decision! (Mariah Carey does a decent cover.)

Simply amazing, considering this was performed by one who doesn't share a belief in the lyrics. I don't like her political opinions, but I must admit....this diva could, indeed, sing the phone book!

Keeping things in perspective, we need to remember where this great man's talent originated. That being said, the versatility of the man was amazing. Do a silly Girls, Girls, Girls type movie....and then sing a Christmas hymn that'll knock your socks off, as he does here. What a terrific versi...

One of a kind Christmas album...I, too, grew up with it. One of the first "sterephonic" records my mom and dad bought for our old two-piece Emerson. To me, it is the sound of Christmas. The Three Suns version of White Christmas (from Ding Dong Dandy, not the one posted on YouTube) is outrageou...

Love both versions.....but hard to beat the King accompanied by the Jordannaires. There's a reason why he sold multiple millions of recordings compared to the Four Fellows???? Who were THEY, LOL...But they DID do a real nice job with this song.
