This is perfectly normal. We humans have always believed in imaginary characters. It's called religion.

I don't understand his rational that science creates financial bubbles. It was ridiculous speculation and irrational policy of government backing up toxic loans that caused the housing bust. Innovation never causes a bust. It's lack of innovation in sound economic policy that destroys wealth.
