Snow Fairy missed a step at 2.04. Watering wet ground isn't good practice. If you look at how many horses get injured on soft ground, or more accurately slippy ground, I reckon its more than on firm. She wouldn't have beaten Midday though.

I like Richard Hughes as a jockey, but I think he played the waiting game too extravagantly on Paco Boy against Goldikova sometimes. If he had kept him a bit more upsides he would have beaten her at least once in my opinion. Goldikova is something special and she could not be picked up like Paco ...

Well his pacemaker blocking him in didn't help. Having to barge his way through and a stop start race probably pissed him off.

I love Giant's Causeway though and he would have won anyway. I couldn't believe it when Tiznow beat him in the Breeder's Cup.
