"If you were envious of the cast of 'Be Kind Rewind' for their opportunity to recreate great moments in cinema, Videopia will be like heaven crossed with EuroDisney on wheels." Time Out
Ever wanted to be in the movies? Well here's your chance people! Videopia is an interactive movie making activity that casts, shoots, & screens miniature remakes of Hollywood classics.
Videopia hosted a popular London clubnight between January 2009 and May 2010 at Notting Hill Arts Club. Combining a dance floor with a makeshift movie set & a bar with a temporary cinema screen, the Videopia crew recreated very silly versions of many cult films including 'Back to the Future', 'E.T', 'Ghostbusters', 'Jaws' & 'Star Wars'.
Last summer the Videopia crew transported their mobile film set to some wonderful festivals including Shangri-la at Glastonbury, Secret Garden Party, The Big Chill, Electric Picnic & Bestival.
This summer you may have seen the Videopia striped horsebox at Latitude, SGP, Camp Bestival, Playgroup, Boomtown, Green Man, EOTR or Bestival.
Videopia is available for kids parties, weddings, school discos & everything else in between, so get in touch if you're after a bespoke movie making experience.
Videopia has been recommended by Time Out, The Guardian, Dazed & Confused, Le Cool Magazine, Don't Panic, Urban Junkies, The Other Side Magazine, The Metro, The London Student, The London Paper, The London Lite & Who's Jack Magazine.
