Dig this tune but this is a very different recording than what's on their 1993 CD. This version features vastly different lyrics as well. I wonder if this a safer version for MTV at the time....no MTV doesn't care about safe broadcasting.

This the era where Alex Skolnick (Testament) filled the shoes of Criss Oliva. Alex cited Criss as a huge influence on him and was thrilled when he got the call from Savatage to join them.

Based in San Leandro at the time.......but the members were fom Concord, Oakley, San Ramon....well I think Adam (bass) lived between San Ramon and San Leandro. I quit the band before the vid was made....there were 2 guitarists...Chris remained as sole guitarists until it's end.

This is a cool tune...I know because I was in this band from early 1987 through 1988 and recorded on the demo tape and wrote this song, which madeit to the album.

@infinityaw2002.....I didn't wire the middle pickup at all. I left it in place to take up the middle space, so it in non-functioning. In the future i will get an EMG pickup for that position.

Man are you using an ADA MP-1 Pre-amp? Awesome.......I have an original 1987 model with the original tubes in it....can't get a better tone than that pre-amp. Killer job!

I just met Doug Ott last night at a local bar where he was playing with his cover band called The Automatics. He is good friends with a friend of mine. Doug is a great guy.....he is playing guitar for my friends daughter when she performs in her schools talent show.

My God! Does this guy kill or what?! I just got their new CD "Total Annihilation" and this dude is off the hook amazing. Annihilator has been around 25 years and hasn't detoured their music like Metallica did...stuck to their guns and sound. Tons of personality with no "I'm a rockstar" attitude.....

I can't stop listeng to this CD......I've got my kids digging it too. All the songs are great. I considered them to be a modern day Beatles.
