is there any diffrence u feel after entering this stretch from villupuram...during november 2010 i travelled in this same train..it crawled up to thiruthuraiyur and got very normal speed up to cuddalore

Conversion works are going on from (21-9-2010) after a day from closure...till now only MG lines are removed in this section .....railway authorities feels that it's one of the difficult section to be converted to BG as there are many bridges ...it would be better atleast if they leave this bea...

Thanks... feels like we are back in 1990's...a few months after this day Dec(1999) OUT OF 3 MG lines from beach one got converted to BG which is for long distance Mg trains.. after this tambaram becomes a MG terminus for Chennai division...on 2007- May MG gone forever from entire chennai division...

Good capture unfortunately rockfort gets electric link completely for its both up and down journey now a days..feel very sad to miss the screamer of twin goc WDM2"s which hauled this train for some few years

Few years ago(may be in 2006) i happened to saw this MG EMU coaches at peralam station parked at loop lines which comes under mayiladuthurai tiruvarur section at loop lines for scraping . it"s really appears to be a heart breaking scene for me..today this section is closed for gauge conversion ....
