Naturally it comes to the modern version of Sonic to bring us a closer feeling to the original Seaside Hill from Sonic Heroes. The theme of having three characters present at all times is seen throughout the entire stage, but it would typically be given reasons in the design for the stage. The level feels huge in contrast to other stages (not in actual length but in the size of everything) because the stages would usually be designed to show all three of your controlled heroes running side-by-side together.
This stage is probably my second-favourite level in the entire game. Everything from the color, the atmosphere, the music and the feel in general are all spot on for a Sonic game. The only major complaints I have with this level involve the paths you'll have to traverse when you miss certain short-cuts... especially early on in the stage.
Thinking back on it, if I had to pick a different level to represent Sonic Heroes, hands down it would've been Bingo Highway. That would probably be the only other level in the entire game with a significantly strong feeling to it. Rolling up and down pathways, collecting bingo chips... not to mention the potential remixes to that song.
