@Nebworth1986 It certainly could, check out the WW2 US Army 442nd Battalion, the Nisei Regiment. The battalion's members were all Americans of Japanese ancestry and features. If I remember correctly, the 442nd was the highest-decorated, most-cited battalion in the US military during WW2.
