Nancy Sinatra - These Boots Are Made For Walking (1966)

    verbenco verbenco commented:

@KissThisAce I was exactly 16 years old in 1966 and as I remember this song was generally thought to be popular in spite of and not because of Nancy Sinatra. We despised her for lip-syncing instead of singing. We also did not like the makeup and hair, but of course we did not admit we noticed ...

@DerSchwurbel No - no one says anything profane on this record, but those rumors have been going around since this song came out when I was young (about 100 years ago). One story of why the words are so hard to understand is that the label produced the record from the demo and never bothered wit...

    Keith Richards on The Beatles

A few harsh words from the legendary Rolling Stones guitarist about the beatles

    verbenco verbenco commented:

In the 1960's I remember magazines which I think were mostly read by pre-teen girls. On the cover of these magazines were pictures of Beatles, Stones and other groups and many times the headlines would refer to some sort of rivalry. Apparently this is still going on. At the time I thought it w...

@sooperPOOPERstar Why? you ask.. answer=why not? why not let the military create whatever they want regarding things like flag etiquette or saluting. We owe them something and flag etiquette is a small gesture.

Seems all Cat/Yusuf videos have many religious comments and music lovers want to know why. It is because this artist made his religious choices public, not a private matter between him and his god. This is his right, but if one makes that choice religion will color everything.
