About Me:

lthough a very young band, AsmarA has been able to accomplish many things such as play with well known bands like "Aiden" , "Eyes Set To Kill" , "Get Scared" , "Vampires Everywhere!" , and "Dr. Acula." With much luck, the band has been featured in many newspapers, TV shows, and radio stations giving them good exposure and a good appeal to the public's eye.The band members are not all novices. Yessenia has been in bands since she was 10, when Carlos, then 13, invited her into his. She initially played bass guitar, as they covered songs by the Ramones and Hole. But when she was 13, random writings became songs, the first one being "Soul Writer."After she writes the lyrics, Carlos writes the music. Now they have an accumulation, some still lacking names other than "the new one" or "the new new one. Joe, out of curiosity, picked up the guitar and fell in love with it right away while he taught himself how to play by learning songs from his favorite bands. Originally a guitarist, Billy learned how to play the bass when he first joined the band. "I love it more than the guitar now," said Billy. AsmarA has spent the time they've been together trying to find their special and unique sound. "It's scary experimenting with a lot of different styles because you get caught up thinking about what you want to play, and what the public wants to hear," said Yessi. After some time of experimenting with different sounds, AsmarA has finally found a sound that nearly captures what they hear inside their heads. "Everyone will be able to hear our new and improved sound in our upcoming EP."
