"Tonight I've fallen and I can't get up. I need your loving hands to come and pick me up." ~ [read story] This starts where Hermione reads in the Daily Prophet that Voldemort and the Muggle-Born registration commission is after her and that she is at a very high risk of being executed, along with all of her closest friends. So, in order to protect the ones she loves, she goes to Ron and Harry and erases their memories, taking away the moment they saved her from the troll so they never became friends. Hermione is extremely sad while doing this but she knows they will be safer is she weren't their friend. So, she leaves them and goes into hiding on her own, trying to protect herself from Snatchers. But it is a lonely life that she now lives. She is there for months, alone, until Snatchers find her and decide not to take her to the Ministry but to Malfoy Manor just to be sure she's who they think she is. Bellatrix Lestrange greets them at the door, and whispers evilly, "Get Draco." Hermione becomes nervous; she went to school with him and he would know that was her and give her up. But when she is brought in there, she is surprised. "Well?" Bellatrix whispers again. "I can't be sure," Draco responds, even though he knows it's the same, bushy-haired girl he went to school with and hated all those years. He then remembers her from first year and the detention they had to share together as well as her smile when Gryffindor beat Slytherin in house points. When he snaps back into reality, his aunt already has Hermione pinned to the ground and is using the Curciatus Curse on her. Her screams echo through the manor. He can't watch, for it is too painful to see the little, friendless girl from Hogwarts get tortured for no reason. She is laying on the ground, unable to get up, and she looks up to Draco with teary, pleading eyes. He can't watch anymore and he uses his wand to bring the chandelier down, causing Hermione to fall into his arms. In an instant, he Apparates to a beach (the first place that popped into his head to get as far away from there as possible). She is still being hunted, but she is forever grateful to Draco for helping her and not letting her die there. "Thank you," she whispers in a barely audible voice, because the torture made her very weak. "You are welcome," he replies and holds onto her so she won't fall, making her feel as safe as possible in his arms. ~ Watch in HD, the coloring will look much better! (Trust me, it all looked better in Sony Vegas, but I can't go back and change it, or I would have to do a lot of it all over again). Please comment! I worked for hours on this, believe it or not! If you have any questions, can't hear the dialogue in this or don't understand something, please ask and I will answer!
