Learn to open up the back of your throat. The trick is to emulate the same position your throat would be in when you yawn. So when trying to hit those high notes, open up your throat, push with your diaphram, and no shoulder breathing. It'll help a bunch trust me :)

Actually, myles can normally hit those notes. He has a much, MUCH higher range than you would probably believe. Not saying its higher than Axl, but it's possible. very possible. @commando102 Nickelback doesnt auto-tune. They sound the same or better live than thier albums, and im not too sure about daughtry. I know kroeger has written with and for just about everyone. That guy is a song machine. Just keeps pumping out the hits

The way Chad Kroeger does it is he uses the heavy metal screaming techniques, but diales them way back so that it's more of a clear and concise rasp. ...
