Vangani Racing

Vangani Racing has been involved in motocross racing since 2006. In 1998, the company assisted grant Langston in relocating to Europe to participate in the motocross world championships. In 2000 the team was established in Europe, with Tyla Rattray and Gareth Swanepoel as riders.

In 2002, the team had a golden year. The team riders Tyla Rattray, Tanel Leok and Ben Townley, all of them younger than 17 years, set the world championship scene ablaze. The team scored numerous GP podiums - and one GP victory during that year, launching the careers of each of its riders to factory stardom.

Since then, Vangani has assisted and/or managed many top riders, including Tyla Rattray, Tanel Leok, Ben Townley, Kevin Strijbos, Jonathan Barragan, Shannon Terreblanche, Matiss Karro and Jeremy Van Horebeek, amongst others.

Since the return of owner Tinus Nel to South Africa, we have increasingly become involved in promoting top level music acts again. Some of the most well known artists that we are fortunate to work with are ALter Irving and Wake to Wonder. Alter Irving is fronted by Cindy Alter (who had massive worldwide hits with Clout), and Stewart Irving (formerly with Ballyhoo). Wake to Wonder is a South African hard rock band that is blazing a path of glory with strong rock numbers such as CONquet the Horizon, catchy tunes such as The Need, ballads such as Cold and food for thought songs such as No Reply
