Five Sisters -- One Sound

Naomi, Esther, Lizzy, Miriam and Debby -- the Van Dooren Sisters. Five charming young women! They are sisters, singers and songwriters who have been performing since they were children. Those who have experienced them live are fascinated by their naturalness, individuality and how personal they are with their audiences. Their voices are an enhancement to their lyrics and music. Their life experiences reflected in song are both mature and touching. They have something to say not only to the young but also to audiences of many ages.

The Van Dooren Sisters have a mixed nationality background. Their father, from Berlin, was a musician and pastor. Their mother, from California, studied photography and brought the daughters to dance school at an early age. They also have Egyptian and Dutch great grandparents which explains their exotic looks! As children they began performing with their parents and were also involved in many music projects together as a family.

They like to describe their music as Pop, with a touch of R&B and Gospel including ethnic instruments and beats. Some songs are written completely by one sister, others are team work with one or two girls writing the lyrics and another doing the melody. The youngest sister, Debby, does the vocal and music arrangements. Although they grew up in Munich, Germany, their mother language is English, which is why most of their songs are written in English. Their very first album "Share Eternity" was just released in October 2006. You can experience their hope, joy, honesty and courage in trusting God through their songs and at their live concerts.
