Hater begins with a consonant; therefore, the indefinite article of choice, here, would be "a". The article "an" is typically and incorrectly used to make things sound more important such as in "an historic event", but that doesn't make it non-standard and wrong.

It's a peculiar juxtaposition with the self-denigrating internet shorthand. Though, those are just my retarded thoughts.

I personally have witnessed "valakin" mocking stupid people to their face.. He can be a "big meany" some of the time. Sometimes, it's been me. <_<
