Nazia Hassan is the Pioneer of Pop Music in the Subcontinent. Imagine a 15 year old girl singing and dancing in Zia-ul-Haq's Mullah ruled Pakistan and becoming famous not only in her own country but South Asia, Indonesia, Africa and South America. She sold over 60 million records worldwide.

Nazia was a beauty with brains. A lawyer by profession, she worked in the UN Security Council. She was involved in active social work and helped raise money for women and children. She also worked to raise awareness against drug menace. Nazia was diagnosed with lung cancer and died at the young age of 35 in 2000.

Her arranged marriage failed miserably and she got divorced 10 days before her death. She left behind a 3 year old son.

i respect u for not wanting to hurt the feelings of the fans by criticizing their idol without knowing much about him.i also avoid commenting on elvis' personal life n other controversial aspects of his career as well but i know myself who he really was.it's just that i have grown up hearing about nazia hassan from my mom n even before i actually watched a video of her,i had started liking her n then i saw the comparison u made with someone, i'm sure, was involved in immoral n sinful acts with innocent little girls,so i was kind of disturbed but i'm glad that u changed your text:)
i also wanted to add that i think that had nazia got the opportunity,she would have become one of the biggest global pop icons.

Alright. I will refrain from comparing the two. But my friend, Elvis is a legend and has many fans. I wouldn't want to hurt them. Many allegations are hurled at famous people. I am not saying what you wrote is incorrect. But while many people say Elvis "stole" black music, others say he was "influenced" or "inspired" by black artists. And I cannot say much about his personal life as I do not know much. And yes, it is nice talking to our neighbours from India. PEACE

so i don't think it's morally correct to compare nazia with elvis because nazia became who she was solely because of her talent n charming personality but elvis on the other hand,as it is often said,became so huge,only because he came at the time when the influence of the KKK was very massive n people wanted a white artist who would sing black music.elvis is all about rock n roll n wasn't even the pioneer of that.there were many others before n better than him but the problem was that they were black.while naziya is truly the only one.
anyways...it's so nice to talk to our neighbours from pakistan:)

thanks for the invite n sub n sorry for replying so late.my mom is a fan of nazia hassan n she talks about her from time to time.i also love her voice.i liked what u have written about her but was quite disturbed with the comparison u made with elvis. it's a well-documented fact that elvis had nothing to do with originality n stole from black music.please don't insult nazia by comparing her with an artist who is often referred to as 'thief' by musicologists. in addition,elvis was openly dating a 14yr old whom he married later.criminal investigators n elvis' longtime friends alike have stated that he was a pedophile who was obsessed with pre-teen girls.i also read a true story of a 13yr old girl who had sex with elvis(who was in his 20s) n then commited suicide because of the guilt.
