What both reviewers seem to miss is, first, that with Star Trek 2009, there's no going back to the plodding directing and writing styles of old trek (hoorah!), but second, 2009 doesn't address the problems and inconsistencies of the old universe- it proves to be equally, if not more, careless tha...
1. Great, they finally get a Seeker played by someone who can ACT, and they kill him off.
2. The sisters of the Dark were pretty limp apart from Nicci (as played by Blalock); after this episode they get slaughtered every time they fight, only for more of them to appear in the next episode.
What a stupid decision to kill Ashley... she kicked ass, and the series kind of lost its balance after that. Still, this episode was probably the best in the series, and if she had to die, this is one of the best death scenes ever.
