You're 100% right. But for me personally there's no much sence in standing 2-3 hours with camera if i will be the only person who will watch it later. Sharing & feedback makes filming twice more interesting. And as a trader myself i won't even watch youtube sample if i can quickly set up a trade and download and watch entire show in highest quality.

of course dvd quality is better and always preferable. it just kind of takes the excitement to do a trade. for me, its not thrilling to get this stuff at all. its nothing you look forward to see, because its out there in its complete lenght already, you know? so its just a collectors item, nothing else. anyhow, just my point of view.
