i know but it's to show kobe is slowly declining but not by a huge margin, i mean by the time he turns 34 or 35 he wont be as dominate.

True Supra, the stats from those finals are similar, but bearn in mind, Jordan was 34 years old during the 97 finals and Kobe was only 30 during the 09 finals. Compare Jordan's finals performance at age 30 and it's embarrassing.
Jordan finals stats during 93 finals at age 30: 41 ppg, 8.5 rpg, 6.3 apg, .508 FG%, .400 3PT% |

YLT is an arse. "I'm an engineer so I'm smarter than the rest of you." Pity that when you take the engineering approach and actually look at the data, YLT couldn't be more wrong.

Stu Jackson in 2007 on increased scoring, rule changes, handchecking, and defense:
"We attribute it to the fact that teams are getting more higher-quality shots because of teams abilities to penetrate the basketball. So, in other words, if you get more penetration, and more passes out of penetration, youre going to tend to get higher-quality shots with more shooting set-up time. If you have more time to shoot the basketball, your percentage is going to increase. Because our rules are more focused on keeping the middle open and offering more opportunities for players to cut and penetrate the basketball in the middle of the floor, the quality of our perimeter shots has gone up and were also getting more higher-percentage shots inside." more: http://www.nba.com/features/st |
