Politics is politics. But - all religious fervor aside - Cat Stevens had as much (if not more) talent than James Taylor, Jim Croce, Harry Chapin or Gordon Lightfoot back in the 1970s. Those were great AM radio days. Cheers!

I'm 50...grew up with this band in the late 70s. This was, well...a strange album. Sort of a clumsy transition from their outstanding earliest work and their MTV metamorph later on. Still, a legendary set of pipes and one technically brilliant guitarist with these two sisters. Heart rocked.

Nobody ever discusses Elliot Easton when it's time to talk 'guitarists'. Dude had such a clean, distinctive sound...almost Brian May like.

Who would NOT want to grow up to be Roger Daltrey. What a voice...

You said it all Frogman. I just wait for Entwistle and that bass guitar from the depths of Hell to simply elevate this thing. All four of these guys were just great, great musicians.

Best lyric I've heard to any song in any genre in a helluva long time.

Ah, what might have been. Navy and QB Roger Staubach in 1963. Love the old highlights; especially seeing the obsolescent thigh/hip pads that no self-respecting speedster would be caught dead in in the modern game.

Decent vid...though perhaps too much weight is given to bowl appearances/victories. No way the Nissan CarQuest Carcrafters Bowl (made it up) rates equally with the minimal number of bowl slots available up until the 1980s.

One of two games from my youth that defined college football for me...the other being the Nebraska-Oklahoma classic from 1971. For you kiddies out there, this was the year of the moon landing and Woodstock. Played against the backdrop of the war in Vietnam. It was a different America.

Chuck! This song was off the only 'Records' LP I ever bought and I was listening to this in 1980 or 1981. There was this excellent period in music (in between the NYC punk scene and the debut of MTV) that featured some really fine musicians. Folks like Joe Jackson, Nick Lowe ...

Funny, but when folks discuss the Beatles they NEVER mention just how 'heavy' that opening guitar is on this very track. Muddy and aggressive at the same time. Makes me think - like 'Helter Skelter' and the intro to 'Revolution' - that these four guys could have sounded just as dirty and as nas...

Underrated songwriter. Never possessed a stellar vocal but always enjoyed his stuff. Great acoustic guitar work in this number. RIP George.
