Did you know you can run your favorite PS1 games on your computer perfectly?! Refer to my tutorial here to play your games FOR FREE on your computer. No need for a high-end computer. It's like a real playstation!

First, make sure you have IZArc, Winrar or 7zip. I'm using IZArc. They can be downloaded for free
Once you have one of these unzipping tools, go to http://www.epsxe.com/. On your left click on "downloads" scroll down and click on "ePSXe v1.7.0" (should be first one on the list). SAVE it to "My documents". Once it is saved, right-click on it. Click on IZArc and click "extract here"

Now you need a bios. Go to: http://dragonballarena.gamesurf.it/english/media/giochi/psx.php and download "BIOS PSX (scph1001.bin)" SAVE IT IN THE BIOS FOLDER. Right click and hit "extract here"

OK----Now you need plugins (these control graphics and sound). For the gpu plugin (graphics plugin/video plugin), go to http://www.pbernert.com/ on your left click on "PSX GPU Plugins" and download P.E.Op.S. Soft GPU (Windows) V1.18b. SAVE THIS TO YOUR ePSXe plugins directory! (there will be a folder in ePSXe that says "plugins" SAVE IT THERE!) Right click, click on IZArc, and click "extract here". There is already a controller and sound plugin so don't worry about downloading any.

Now you need to download "zlib1.dll" this can be downloaded for free. Go to "http://www.dll-files.com/pop.php?dll=zlib1" Save it in the folder where you put all those epsxe files, extract it with IZArc. Now you MIGHT need to download another file, burutter.dll. download from dll-files.com just like zlib1.dll. **** If you're having problems, like epsxe still won't open and says the file isn't there, it's because you didn't put these two files in the right place. The files must be taken out of their folders. Copy "zlib1.dll" and "burutter.dll". Now back out of the folders. Now to get ePSXe 1.7. to recognize these two files, save them both where all those folders are, the "bios" "cheats" "memcards" etc.

If you have a usb controller (xbox 360 wired controller) you can play with that instead of a keyboard. You can use the default plugin it comes with, so no need for download. Now that you have everything you need, your epsxe files will have a little picture of a controller, make a shortcut onto your desktop to make it easier to get to if you want.

You should have everything you need. Click on ePSXe. Go to "config" and then "wizard guide" Go to config again. your bios should show up, click on it. Click on next. The GPU plugin 1.18b should show up, click on it, then click next. for sound, click on the default ePSXe sound plugin and then click on "next". Now there should be two separate CD plugins choose one. then click on next. If you have a usb controller, click on "controller 1" and put the buttons in their proper place, then next, now you're done

Now you need games. Go to http://romhustler.net. On your left click "Sony Playstation" scroll down a little. find the game you want. The games come in multiple parts. Download the games parts IN ORDER. Make a folder and save all the parts to that folder. When you have each part, right click on the first file (part 1) and extract with IZArc. This extracting will combine all the parts into one file. Extract this combined file. There the game should be fully completed. Now run ePSXe and click on "File" and then "run iso" and select the game you just extracted.

The other site I use is "emuparadise.org" some games are an "ecm file" which means you need to download ecm tools. What you do is you download the game you want and extract it, download ecm tools and extract that. You drag the extracted game rom into the ecm tools executable file and ecm tools then converts the game into a readable file then you're done.

Now you can have cheats on here too. "p.e.c" or "playstation emulation cheater" from emulator-zone.com is the way you cheat. When it is downloaded, there should be a shortcut to it on your desktop. Click it, go to file, user database, go to add cheat. so go on google and search for the gameshark cheat. Make sure you change you plugin from "pete's 1.18b" to "psx emulation cheater 2.5" When you have the cheat in the database, click on "send cheats to plugin" Now the cheating device will make the game lag and glitch so what you do is you save the game so that way you don't need that glitchy plugin, after you save it with the cheats, simply switch back to pete's 1.18b.
