I live about an hour from Lancaster, PA. There are Amish everywhere. It is true that they are, on the whole, shorter than the "English" (thats how they refer to the non-Amish community. We , in turn, refer to them as "Plain" people.) They also have a much huskier build than the non-Amish. On the other hand, I have yet to see an Amish man that was flat-out obese, as the person in the video is. They are a farming people. If they aren't farming, then they are ranching or working as roofers, all grueling occupations which require huge amounts of extreme physical labor. It just does not happen. That person in the video would not be able to keep up in an Amish community, at least the ones in my area.
My friend, I have known the Amish my whole life. i have dined with these people on numerous occasion throughout my life. My family is friends with 3 Amish families, 2 of my Father's best friends are Amish.
So, basically, I do know what "I talken" about. Thanks for the comment.
