386 views 3 months ago
Germany, the United States, and the global community come together on April 22 to celebrate Earth Day. In the spirit of the day, Ambassador John B. Emerson took some time to talk about America's progress in combating climate change, highlighting efforts being made for the future. Looking back at the Major Economies Forum, started by President Obama, and the President's Climate Action Plan, Ambassador Emerson described the global position America is taking on climate change. He also illustrated that there are a lot of climate friendly and renewable energy programs on the state and local level in America, such as in states like California and Texas, and in the city of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania. He also discussed a few "green" programs in place at the U.S. Embassy.
