In a plan to put more weapons into the hands of Mexican drug cartels the Obama administration allowed over 2,000 guns to be bought at US stores and delivered to violent drug cartels in Mexico. The purpose? So the administration can continue to claim that American gun sales need to be restricted because of the violence in Mexico. The political ploy exploded when a US border agent was killed with some of those very weapons.
