urban-shade was founded by in 2002 with the aim of bringing new media arts to people who would not normally get the opportunity to experience them. Magazines, websites, animations, films, photographs and more can give people the opportunity to express and empower themselves. They can inspire people to improve conditions for both themselves and their communities. They can bring people together, convey powerful messages, promote change and celebrate achievement. New skills can open doorways for people to progress into further education or employment, or simply encourage people to explore new experiences and believe that they can achieve great things.
