FACTS=uvf were the first group to carry out attacks in northern ireland. Began by murdering an innocent catholic barman in june 1966.
The british army and police join forces with loyalist groups. 27th of june 1970 the uvf backed up with over 3000 loyalists rioters attempt to over run a small catholic enclave of short strand. IRA use firearms to defend the area killing 5 loyalist gunmen,this was the first recorded use of firearms by the IRA. NOTE that this occured 4 years after the uvf had begun using firearms on inoccent catholics.350 people wer arrested without trial in 1971.348 or 99percent of those arrested were catholic in a state where catholics only made up 35 percent population.
1971 thousands of innocent catholics go to prisons without trial.15percent of british soldiers wer members of loyalist murder groups.Less than 31percent of IRA victims were civilians.FACT=60 percent of those killed by the british army were innocent.FACT=85.9 percent of those killed by loyalist terroristswere innocent.In 28 years of war against the IRA THE UVF ONLY MANAGED TO KILL 12 IRA MEMBERS BUT KILLED 358 INNOCENT CIVILIANS.British government were found guilty of war crimes including [unlawful killing].The uvf and uda ceased operations in 1994 after the IRA ELIMINATED A NUMBER OF THEIR LEADERS.THE BRITISH ARMY ADDMITTED PUBLICALLY IN AUGUST 2007 ,,,,IT COULD NOT DEFEAT THE IRA AND A POLITICAL SOLUTION HAD TO BE FOUND,,,,,,,,.AS I SAID I.R.A= UNDEFEATED ARMY.
