The United Nations Singers is comprised mainly of UN employees based at the New York Headquarters of the United Nations. This unique chorus, founded in 1947, receives invitation to sing at a wide range of functions in New York and across the world, from cultural festivals to nursing homes and orphanages, to official events where the Secretary-General and other top leaders are in attendance. Our repertoire consists of folk songs, carols and choral music in more than 40 languages. Depending on the occasion we dress in traditional ethnic clothing.

We have members who work for the main UN Secretariat body, as well as specialized agencies such as UNICEF and UNFPA, and permanent missions - which are the offices of Ambassadors to the UN.
