Bocconi would like to be a cultural reference point for Italy and Europe: a place where its research activities not only contribute to the socialeconomic development of the country but also allow the University to constantly improve and update its educational programs.
This happens also thanks to the Universitys numerous cultural activities (e.g. courses, conferences, guests speaking on a variety of topics, and all the
activities of the Universitys associations).
In 2008, about 300 conferences were organized attracting 45,000 participants, as well as seven international congresses and the International Forum The Economy and the Open Society organized in collaboration with Corriere della Sera.
The Forum attracted 6000 participants and was awarded the European Best Event Award as the best cultural event of the 2007.
