what editiing tools did you use?

my buddys electric starter works only occasionally, maybe half the time. it'll struggle to turnover sometimes and wont do it. the battery is brand new. if i crank the kickstart once and go back to the electric start, it'll start just fine, anyone have any ideas whats wrong?
