Born and raised in their hometown Springfield,ma sisters Anita and Shanell better know as unexpected. Its wasnt long before unexpected became musically inspired. At a young age , unexpected observed and became captivated by every aspect of the entertainment field. While performing in talent shows, along with modeling and dancing ; their aspirations grew each and everyday. Unexpected has a passion to entertain , if theres a Stage, there on it. If theres a camera, theyre in front of it. Unexpected says, its as if we become an completely different person as soon as we step on stage. We begin playing a role, that shyness that you see when you first meet us, somewhat disappears. We become an actress putting on a show for you. At the age of 12 and 16 years old Anita and shanell started off in a dance group called desire performing at various venues and at school talent shows. They also appear appeared in the December 16 2001 Sunday republican for teens dream. Thats where they got their stage name from nacil (Anita) floneay(shanell). Unexpected is a talented tripe threat rappers, dancers, singers also songwriters. Unexpected with their unique enthusiastic voices knows how to own the stage and please the crowd, their R&B /hiphop/southern vibe . Unexpected looks up to such artist as missy elliot, destinys child , salt n pepper, ludacris, busta rhyme, plies , Mary j blige, , Monica, birdman, lil Wayne, fabolous, and so many more. Unexpected doesnt follow the stereotype of female rappers, by keeping their appearance classy but still sexy. Unexpected prides their self on being a role model and focus their music on being inexplicit . 5years in the game and with lack of support from their family unexpected still remains confident and ever hungry to stay determine to make their way in the music industry. Knowing that theres only a few female rappers in the industry, unexpected stays focus and on there grind to break their way into this industry. Unexpected prides their self on being a complete entertainer/artist, rather then just a rapper. unexpected is driven to become someone that makes great music that will be love for years to come rather then just making for just the moment songs that will be easily forgotten.
