About Me:

I've been asked about my user handle. I chose the name "unapologeticsouth" for one: because unapologeticsoutherner would not fit , and two: because I don't think that Dixie has anything to apologize for. Some say that the South and Southerners are to blame for African slavery in this country. I say; no more than the North is. Or, for that matter, they are no more to blame than the Brit's, or Spainiards, or the African muslims who sold their own people into bondage. I do not support or condone the actions or views of the neo-nazis, arian nation, the kkk, the skinheads or any other white supremacy group. The flags displayed on this page are not representative of hate, or prejudice, or bigotry, or racism. This flag was one of the most recognized symbols of a nation that wanted to keep the ideals of our founders alive. Smaller, less intrusive government, individual rights, property rights, etc... I am a proud descendant of several confederate soldiers. Not many of them were more than privates. But a mans rank doesn't keep him from fighting for what he thinks is right. The pic is my great-great grandpa Benjamin Thomas Teal. ( I co North Carolina 43rd regiment.) I am also related to Stephen Jackson who called for South Carolina's vote for seccession and signed the South Carolina Ordinance of Seccession. Most of my people fought in the NC and SC regiments. My wifes people fought in the Arkansas 12th infantry.
I am a veteran of the U.S. Army and my roots reach back to the 1600's on this continent. That is something that I am proud of. Thanks for visiting.
