'If that is the case then the person is not punished with capital punishment.' actually it happened and yes 1st degree murder is punishable by death

'Intentional murder: In these cases the victim's family is given the option as to whether or not to insist on a punishment of this severity' so the victim's family COULD ask for revenge, now couldn't they

'people have died during unarmed robberies too' i said it before... I am talking about plain simple robbery, not manslaughter or murder. Let me put it bluntly with an example case study: there is a man who couldn't get any jobs so he decided to rob a store while none was inside thus none was hurt, the police investigated the scenes and received clues as to the identity of the criminal. They eventually find him and prosecute him. Now tell me ACCORDING to the sharia law, shouldn't he get the hand cut off witch which he stole the goods? in a non-islamic country he would get maybe 3 years depending on the law for robbery, and in a LOT of cases these people realize that it was a big mistake and use eventually their hands to do good things and contribute to the society, do you think they could do that in a sharia abiding country? I don't think so.

It is mostly in arabic countries or islamic ones due to honor. There was this case of a 16 year old girl who only talked with boys in her school in Turkey, her family didn't like that and eventually decided to bury her alive, absolutely despicable. I know that it is not Islamic BUT that is related to honor of most Arabic countries, prove me wrong if you can. (read the news)

I have absolutely no idea where you get your data from, but according to my knowledge the scandinavians have the lowest crime rates in the world. Let's be honest here, yes there have been cases where wifes killed their husbands and vice versa when they found out of their other half's indiscretions, HOWEVER that is rare in the UK and other european countries, you know there is something called divorce.

they are according to the statistics the most peaceful places with a very little crime rate and they don't have sharia law, there aren't even a lot pf practicing Catholics, they are simply using common sense, discussion, arguments and so on. The reason why the US has such a high crime rate is due to other factors (history of violence, gun permits allowed, disenfranchised and marginalized minority groups discrimination and so on there are a lot of factors). I still think that if those punishments weren't there those rehabilitated convicts could greatly contribute to the society and even lecture other wannabe criminals that it is a bad choice and so on, instead of just cutting of his limb (in case of theft)

would you still hang or behead him?? that's the reason why there is a court system to assess the RISKINESS of the specific person, not just plain and simply behead him or hang him for that) in my opinion, you cannot really put that in the same category of robbery which is a crime but you don't really harm anyone apart from the person you stole from. And like i said previously of course beheading, hanging, cutting off limbs, stoning all these 'divine' punishment would be a powerful deterrent for anyone intending to commit those 'crimes' (sleeping as a married person with someone else, stealing somethings no matter the value, murder, rape and so on) but it is based on nothing else but absolute fear it doesn't hold any moral values. Furthermore you cannot say that it is because countries don't have those sharia punishments that they have such high crime rates. Take for example the Scandinavian countries,

But your example is a point blank gun shot that is completely different from theft or adultery, that should be dealt with capital punishment (if the shooter didn't have any reason for killing, but imagine that the shooter wanted to kill someone who initially murdered his family what then??
