I am glad GeneSparc wrote those comments (3 mths ago). Sometimes when I see these USMC or USN service men on R&R in Singapore, it seems inappropriate to say to them, "Thank you", when even to my own country's servicemen this needs to be said. To all the coalition forces in Afghanistan and Iraq, for doing their job faithfully, "thank you!" We can't forget what all our vets have done, in the Great Wars right down to these recent fight against terrorism. Thank you HBO for doing the film, and LTC Strobl for chosing to record and share that journey with PFC Phelps. I have had the privilege of working with ex-USMC and they are terrific guys. Thanks for putting up these clips of the film on YouTube archive - this way, many more can call up the video on demand and appreciate them better.

I have been in the military 24 years.... I have traveled all over.... since 2001, I have noticed a significant change in the public. In the past, I would travel in uniform and not get a second look. No one would generally say anthing, execept maybe "Where are you stationed?".

Now, I general get at least 2 "Thank you for your service" comments on any trip. I can see the graitude in their eyes. It really makes me feel like I am doing something worthy.

That is what Ltc Stroble was trying to express in "Taking Chance"..... and he did a wonderful job.
The movie is .... I can't express how great I think it is. I have watched it at least 10 times...

Please recommend it to as many friends as possible....
