The Following is, if you will, my Manifesto of Beliefs
1. I'm a very patriotic Brit, and UK comes first, always
2. I'm Conservative & Unionist (rationally though)
3. I believe that the USA is the most noble country in the world (after us, of course) and I fully support US actions in Vietnam, Korea, Iraq, Afghanistan & parts of Africa
4. I despise both Russia & China, for their despotic & cruel actions in Tibet & South Ossetia, preying on smaller nations.
5. I am opposed to Scottish Independence and Irish Unification.
6. Until recently I was pro-European, but since recently my Political thought has undergone a Cabinet Re-shuffle and the Europeans are OUT. I was and am a Conservative Libertarian, and as such my ideology clashes with that of the Socialist Statist European Union, additionally the aims of the EU include: the further transfer of power from London to Brussels, a Bigger, More expensive budget for the EU (on top of the £60 billion we pay annually!), overturning the UKs opt out of the EU working time directive effectively denying us the right to choose our overtime, transfer to power from British courts to European ones (of which Europeans have no experience of the legal system in Britain, which differs vastly from most Euro systems)
7. I hold to right of Israel to exist as sacrosanct, as I do the preservation of Judeo-Christian values and culture, and believe that a two-sate solution would effectively condemn half of the Jewish population of Israel to a despotic, dictatorial, militaristic state in which laws are enforce by armed thugs, Jews are second-class citizens. I call upon all rational democratic people to refuse to accept this Islamofascist state of things to come.
8. I am a Thatcherite (Libertarian Conservative) and view both the BNP and Communists as a disgrace to the Right-wing/Left-Wing and to the UK (heck, to humanity!)
In the face of recent negativity towards the United Sates of America I feel compelled to offer up a counter argument: In reality, America has the kindest and gentlest foreign policy of any superpower nation in world history. In the past, the ancient Romans conquered the Mediterranean, Europeans colonized the world, Soviet Russia controlled Eastern Europe, and the Ottoman Empire captured the whole Middle East. On the other hand, America certainly has the military power to similarly expand its territory, but instead chooses specifically to liberate. In the past 60 years alone, the U.S. saved the world from Nazi Germany and the Soviet empire, and has halted tyrannical regimes and/or human rights abuses in places such as Bosnia, Kuwait, Granada, Haiti, Liberia, and Panama. In each case, America never stayed to rule the country, but instead rebuilt Germany and Japan after World War II and quickly withdrew from the others. And now, far from subjecting Iraq and Afghanistan, America is working hard to build them into vibrant self-governing democracies. U.S. troops are also particularly careful to minimize the other side's casualties in war, avoid targeting civilians, and serving humanitarian missions such as delivering food and blankets. Certainly America has made mistakes as well, such as supporting certain dictators, but overall this is a far cry from being an imperialist "America, Inc." America itself also cannot be blamed for 9/11. No government policy can justify a terrorist's decision to deliberately murder thousands of innocent civilians. Contrary to Mr. Abou-Ouf's claim, it is the American way of life that the terrorists despise. Groups such as al-Qaeda have repeatedly demonstrated that they stand completely against U.S. hallmarks such as freedom, democracy, and an open society. Shane Stein in response to Yasser Abou Ouf article "Anylyzing America, Inc"
