@bevekerry um, if the point was to save the cat, which i think it was, why would you shove the cat into an apartment where it doesnt live? The owners could be on vacation, or worse that unit could be vacant. Right?

This kid goes to West Chester University in Pennsylvania. Let's just say the intellectual caliber of kids that go there is not that high. I've met folks from West Chester and Widener, and it's really the 'deer in headlights' when you try to have an intelligent conversation with them. So sad. ...
