Good idea. Have you considered using party poppers and fishing line as a tripwire alarm? Carefully remove the small pull-banger and cover with wax to waterproof it. You can attach it to a tree, post or even door and gives a loud enough bang to be useful.

They are good robust knives but the handles can be a bit uncomfortable after chopping for a while with it. Webtex produced a cheap version of this knife which was no way as good as the MOD issue knife.

Trouble I can see with this product is that unless it instantly debilitates an attacker like CS or mace it would only serve to make the attacker angrier and determined to mess you up. So, unless you take out the attacker first then spray him/her its pretty much useless.
