Kicking off on 28th September, the 2009 Adventure Film Festival will once again be showcasing the very best adventure sports movies at a cinema near you. The big difference this year is that all screenings are absolutely FREE - all you have to do is register to get your complimentary ticket.
With dates at 35 cinemas across the country this year's festival will include To the Rock and Back - charting the success of Alex Thomson and a host of British talent in the 2009 Rolex Fastnet Race; 20 Seconds of Joy an insight into the mind and career of BASE-jumper Karina Hollekim; The Sharp End following legendary climbers up some of the world's most challenging walls; and Lift, an award-winning documentary following twin brothers Timothy and Anthony Green and their lifestyle as acrobatic paragliders.
Be inspired too by the adventurers of Brits who have taken a break from the 9 to 5 to undertake a personal journey and challenge themselves to achieve the most demanding personal goals, both physical and emotional, in Arch to Arc, Oceans 14 and Running to the Limits.
