The mission of the Bren School is to play a leading role in researching environmental issues, training scientists and environmental management professionals, and identifying and solving environmental problems around the world. The school is ranked among the top programs of its kind in the nation, and is the only one in the western United States. It is housed in Bren Hall, a state-of-the-art living laboratory that is the only building to have earned two LEED Platinum certifications (the highest rating possible) from the U.S. Green Building Council.
