Hello, My name is Jerry. I'm 23 and of course I live in Indiana. I have been spinning fire poi and contact staff for 3 years now, Rope dart for about 1 year,contact juggling for 6 months, Flow wand for about 3 months, and Fire Fans for about a month.

The Poi is what started it all for me. I had seen my old manager spin some fire poi and was just hooked. My friend bought a set off her the next day and I made myself a set within a week. I jumped straight into fire did not even think that you could practice with socks or glowsticks Intel later down the road. about a week into spinning poi I was playing with a old staff of mine and had the bright ideal hey I can light this on fire to !!! So I looked up fire staff on YouTube and found people doing contact staff and was wowed, so of course the fire staff came right away. Now the sad part of this story is about a month into my new hobby of spinning fire, I was diagnosed with testicular cancer for the 2nd time resulting in 4 months of chemo 5 days a week and then a surgery. so sadly I could barely spin anymore just watch videos and the occasional light up when I couldn't stand it anymore and just had to. the cancer disappeared for a few months and poped back up resulting in much more chemo and a 2 and a half foot scar down my stomic. so in all I lost about 2 of the 3 years I have been spinning, to cancer but believe me I'm making it up on this 3rd year.
